Parish of Dorset delighted

The Parish of Dorset was delighted recently to welcome Bishop John for a visit - for a whole weekend!

The 'Big Event' was the induction of the Revd Helen Chick who will spend seventy percent of her time in Dorset and the remaining time in the Parish of Furneaux and Flinders Island.

On the Saturday, Bishop John and Helen were taken on a tour of our beautiful parish and visited Scottsdale, Bridport, Ringarooma, Branxholm, Legerwood, Derby, Winnaleah and Herrick. Of special interest were the Legerwood memorial trees and a large dairy farm, and of course, the wonderful folk of the North East.

There was a special Dorset Parish Council dinner on the Saturday evening and on Sunday morning Helen officiated at the 10am service at the Church of St Barnabas.
