Church Missionary Society - TasmaniaDevelopments since SummerView 2007 in January have led to changes of dates and speakers for 2008. Please note carefully; these are different from previously advised SummerView 2008 will now be held from the evening of Thursday 10 January to Sunday 13 January ending mid-afternoon. SpeakersRose Dowsett has been called 'the finest missiologist in the world'. She and her husband Dick have been members of OMF International since 1969. AccommodationParticipants of all ages at SummerView 2007 gave Camp Banksia, the new venue, a resounding 'thumbs up' whilst providing constructive feedback to the committee about further improvements to consider. Camp Management has indicated that bringing additional caravans and tents onsite may not be allowed this year. The committee plans to maximise use of the cabins to ensure as many folk as possible can live onsite. If you plan to camp or bring a van, you are strongly urged to contact the caravan parks very nearby as soon as possible - both are heavily booked as summer approaches. These are Moomba Caravan Park, Ph. 6428 6140 and Port Sorell Lions Club Caravan Park, Ph. 6428 7267. The Port Sorell area has many options for accommodation, from Bed and Breakfast establishments to fully serviced apartments. Application forms will be available towards the middle of the year, and a preliminary reservation form will be found on the CMS and Diocesan websites shortly. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact the committee if you have questions.
