Preparing a Bible talk

This is a one-day conference to help equip present or potential preachers and anyone involved in any form of Bible-based ministry - preparing Bible studies, sermons, one-off Bible talks, etc.

The Principal and faculty of Sydney Missionary and Bible College will run the day, which will be offered in three locations in October: 15th - St Aidans East Launceston, 17th St Stephen's Wynyard, and 19th St Luke's Church Hall, Campbell Town. Payment of $45 includes food and must be paid with registration and sent to the Riverlinks office.

The brochure outlines the day's program which includes, among other things, 'A method of preparation', 'What men should know about preaching to women', and 'How to hold your audience's attention'.

SMBC is Australia's oldest Bible College, is evangelical, and enjoys a reputation for sound biblical and theological education. Its key focus is on training men and women for gospel ministry in Australia and oversees.

These days are being organised by David Rogers-Smith (Ministry Development Officer - Bible Ministries; Enabler - Riverlinks Anglican Church) and the Riverlinks Anglican Church and are open to all Christian churches in Tasmania.

Information/registration brochures are available from the Riverlinks Anglican Church office in Launceston phone 6327 4742 or email . The brochure can be viewed and downloaded from here.
