Ministry Conference 2007Ministry Conference is undergoing a major revamp in 2007. The regulars don't need to pack their pyjamas this year. The challenge won't be surviving camp showers and beds but bringing as many friends as possible to the new full day event in your region. The day will be a mix of fun, fellowship, growth and learning. Our hope is that this new format will allow a much wider cross section of people to participate. We also hope to raise our awareness of the statewide 'Jesus all about Life' campaign that comes to Tasmania in September. This campaign has a simple aim to promote the promise of Jesus offering abundant life. That's something we should get involved in. Several of the workshops will relate directly to the campaign. Bishop John says, 'This is a chance for all Anglicans to 'INVEST treasures in heaven' and to declare our hearts' desires by simply attending and participating. Investment is about the future. We all invest in ourselves, our families, our churches and our communities, longing for an abundant life. An INVEST day will equip and encourage you in future life and ministry. It's also a chance to enjoy some of the abundant life that we have together in Jesus Christ. This is an investment in the Kingdom of God' An INVEST day will include Bible teaching from our Bishop, challenges and fresh insights from a guest speaker, and a wide selection of electives on life, ministry and mission. A final list of electives will be published on the anglicantas web page and distributed by parishes just before the event. If you would like to run an elective let us know and we may agree to give you a run. The days will be held from 10 am to 4 pm. A BBQ sausage sizzle, morning and afternoon tea will be available for a gold coin contribution. Otherwise the day is free. So mark the date of your regional day in your diary and watch out for more advertising and details to come.
