Summer camping
Once again Anglican Camping Tasmanian Summer Camps were successful in showing young people that being a Christian isn't all about old traditions and restrictions, but can be fun and challenging. Having led on a few of these camps before, it is always fantastic to see campers coming back for more, bringing a year's worth of growth with them. The new campers are just as cool, as they come from different backgrounds. It can be hard to get to know every person to the same degree, but just meeting so many new faces (while daunting at first) is always lots of fun. God could be seen constantly working through the campers, leaders and environment, especially as he continuously blessed us with weather that suited our every need. While it's great to see all these people come closer to knowing Jesus on camps, the hardest part still lies ahead for them, as they go through the year without the encouraging camp environment. They need prayer and support, so please, if you see some bemused looking kids at your church, befriend them, pray for them and support them through what can be the toughest part of their Christian growth.
