Hymn Festival at Bothwell
We celebrated a very happy day at St Michael's and All Angels at Bothwell in October - visitors joined us from many other churches, including a group from Bush Church Aid in NSW. Again we welcomed the Hobart Veterans' Band, who appreciate the wonderful acoustics in this beautiful church and now make the Bothwell visit a priority on their schedule. The Bagdad Singers presented three brackets of songs and our Bothwell organist, Di Hallett, accompanied the congregation for some of the hymns. Lunch was a hearty repast organised by a small but very able group in the Town Hall. All centres in the Parish are already looking forward to next year's festival and to requests for favourite hymns to include in the programme.
