Farewell to SU DirectorKay Hunter has worked on staff with Scripture Union Tasmania for the past ten years, taking on the responsibilities of the Director in 2002. More than seventy SU volunteers and staff gathered to say farewell at one of Kay's old stomping grounds, 'Carnacoo', in December 2006. Over a barbecue, people were able to share stories of happy and interesting memories. Many of these were gathered together in a scrap book which was presented to Kay as a lasting memento of her life and times with Scripture Union. In saying farewell, Kay was quick to acknowledge the valued support provided to the SU movement by volunteers. The number of volunteers and friends who were present to bid farewell directly reflects the esteem held for Kay at a personal and leadership level, an asset which will be sorely missed with her departure. The Anglican and SU families wish Kay the best and God's blessing for the future.
