Schoolyard blitzA gift from the churches of Launceston For its 200 year celebration, the churches of Launceston decided to give a gift to the city - no strings attached, no denominations, just a demonstration of the love of Jesus. What a demonstration it was! With a combination of 500 adult volunteers, 80 businesses, 22 churches and a work value of $500,000 Invermay Primary School certainly got a facelift. The Kindergarten had a 100 percent makeover, every classroom got a coat of paint, playground equipment was upgraded, new floor coverings were put down and landscaping was revamped. Both entrances to the school are now inviting and modernised and the school has one of the fastest computer networks in the state. Over one school holiday period, the Invermay Primary
School was BLITZED - it has a new lease on life.
