Seniors Bible Convention

The White Sands Resort south of Falmouth was an ideal venue for the 34 'Senior' Christians from different denominations who attended the Seniors Bible Convention in October. Accommodation was comfortable, the restaurant was good, the conference room spacious and there was the lovely beach and rolling surf!

Lindsay Stoddart gave an stimulating talk, encouraging us to develop a simple theology with which to share our faith. David Jones showed new insights into Peter's encounter with Cornelius and Philip's meeting with the Ethiopian eunuch. Les Tatersall spoke on three miracles of Jesus, and Luke, his son, challenged us by discussing three parables.

Friendships were formed. Humour rippled in and out of the program with Bruce Geeves and other folk giving impromptu performances on Friday evening. It was a great three days with good nourishment, both physically and spiritually, with no pressure to perform or be 'wise'. We were just comfortable together and delighted in being just all one in the Lord, refreshing our souls by feasting on his word.
