The first ordination
in the church at St Helens?

At the end of August, Enabler Supported Ministry Team member Mrs Marjorie Mann was deaconed at St Paul's Anglican Church in St Helens, after a recent Calling Out process by members of the Parish. Members of the community, including recently-elected Mayor, Mr Robert Legg, and parishioners witnessed this event in a church filled to overflowing. (Carole Withers believes that this was the first ordination to take place in St Paul's Church. Alexander Withers and Michael Wakefield were ordained in the Portland Memorial Hall because the church building was too small!)

St Helens Parish is now in the sixth year of being a locally supported ministry team with the Rev. James Collins just celebrating his fifth anniversary of being our Enabler. We are blessed with the many different ministries the Lord has given us here and look forward to our next phase of sharing the Gospel in the Break O'Day Municipality.
