Taroona Book SaleThe annual Book Sale at St Luke’s Church, Taroona again fulfilled expectations, and not just in raising more than $8000 for the Clarendon Children’s and Family Services. People travelled from the North and North West for this now traditional book-fest, and avid readers and collectors keenly rummaged amongst the hundreds of books on offer. Few people went away empty-handed. Volunteers from St Luke’s had obviously dedicated hours to collecting, sorting, pricing and arranging the books in orderly fashion on long tables in the church and hall. The next St Luke’s Book Sale will be on the second Saturday in July, 2007. Start collecting now and watch for advertisements later this year.
