Retreat CentreThe Emmanuel Centre is a small vibrant Pastoral and Spirituality Centre. It is run by the Sisters of St joseph but is ecumenical in outreach. A number of our regulars are Anglicans and many of our programs would be of interest to Tasmanian Anglican readers. Coming up we have a series over six weeks on Jesus the Jew, which explores the world of Jesus from within his Jewish tradition; 'Spirituality at the Table' (an evening discussion over a meal with Phyllis Pitchford Aboriginal Elder and Grant Findlay, Uniting Church minister); and a workshop for chaplains led by Colleen Jackson, on responding to grief and trauma. We offer regular retreats, prayer days, times for scripture study, Christian meditation groups and so on.
