The Medal (OAM) of the Order of Australia in the General Division has been awarded to two Tasmanian Anglicans - congratulations to both! Mr John Layton Hodgetts, New NorfolkFor service to the community, particularly through the activities and musical programs of the Derwent Valley Concert Band which he established in 1993. Layton has been Organist and Choirmaster of St Matthew's Anglican Church, New Norfolk, for 20 years. Awards include: Tasmanian Regional Arts Award, 2001; Derwent Valley Australia Day Award, 1999; Tasmania Day Award, 1995 Mr Daniel William McNeill, Sandy BayFor service to education and to the community of Tasmania. St Michael's Collegiate School (Hobart), Principal, 1983-2003; National Council of Independent Schools Tasmanian representative, 1985-1987; Anglican Church Grammar School (Brisbane) Housemaster, 1969-1983.
