Parishioners of St Stephen's, Wynyard have been involved in the Christmas Shoe Box Appeal, with the packaging and blessing of forty boxes, all colourfully covered in Christmas paper. The Fun Club members, the Mission Group, and individual parishioners took part in packaging the host of assorted articles. As the shoe boxes are not very firm, a brightly coloured cloth bag was enclosed for the gifts to be in safe keeping. There was a retiring collection at the end of the morning service, to help with postage. The amount collected was $280.30. When the postage was totalled it came to $280. Thanks be to God! |
