On 17 January the 2005 World View Conference will commence at Bicheno. An exciting and full program has been put together, although we will still retain the free afternoons for recreation. This year we have a good and varied number of speakers. The main one will be highly sought-after conference speaker Michael Frost, with his overall topic 'Where in the world is the church going?' A very different input will be given by Bishop Mdimi Mhogolo from the Diocese of Central Tanganyika, in Tanzania. This is a part of the world where the Church is still growing at an astonishing rate. Our own missionaries Russell and Sue Morton will contribute, and the Rev. Len Firth, Principal of St Andrew's Missionary Training College, will also speak. (Those who heard Len speak at meetings in several places last year will remember his challenging clear style of introducing topics.) Lance and Gwen Tremlett have been missionaries in Aboriginal work in the N.T. for over forty years. They have done many different jobs, most recently being facilitators in the Kriol Bible translation project. The great thing of a conference is not only the plenary sessions, but also the opportunity to chat informally with speakers. Bookings are coming in well and at the Sea View Conference Centre only a few places in the bunk-rooms are left. Try to book some external accommodation nearby.
See you there!
