The 'fun' side of floral decoration at last year's Floral Festival in the Cathedral

From the Cathedral

The Friends of St David's Cathedral have plans well in hand for their 2005 Floral Festival, to be held from 18-20 February 2005.

'God's Bounty' is the theme for the 37th annual Ecumenical and Community Festival, to be held in the Cathedral and Church House. Music, exhibitions of art and embroidery, and a well-stocked plant stall will complement the floral arrangements inside the Cathedral and light refreshments will be available. The festival will conclude with a pleasant Sunday afternoon concert.

A stall will be held outside the Murray St entrance of the Cathedral on the morning of the Christmas Parade on 20 November. Home-baked biscuits, cakes and jams and plants will be sold to raise funds to stage the Festival, so if you are in town for the parade we would be delighted if you could stop by and support our efforts.

Simple but stunning

All Festival participants will be invited to an afternoon tea on Saturday 24 December at 2pm at Church House, where Mrs Norma Gordon will again share some simple but stunning ideas for having fun with flowers. Please note these dates and join us if you can.
