'Roll on the next DFFG!' - some of the Friendly Family at the Diocesan Ministry Conference.

How tall is that!

Happy kids at Diocesan Ministry Conference

A real DFFG - some Ministry Conference reflections

From Dick Geeves

What a ripper! Gathered at Camp Clayton well over a hundred adults. Grandpas and Grandmas, Mums and Dads, Aunts and Uncles plus over fifty of their Younger Fry. Lay men and Women, Wardens and Parishioners, Deacons and Priests, an 'on fire Church Army Evangelist and his Spouse together with our own Beaut Bishop, and his Spouse ('The Donkey Lady'). A real Diocesan Friendly Family Gathering. (DFFG). Live Bands. Plenty of Food, Fellowship and Fun

I mean, what more can you want? What was it all about? Roll on the next DFFG.

From David and Julie Rogers-Smith

Our family loved spending a weekend away by the beach with lots of other Christians. …atmosphere upbeat, warm and full of the anticipation that comes with meeting with the living God and his people. Our kids loved the environment (especially all the trampolines and the flying fox!) …and befriending other kids. The latter was so important having only moved to the State this year. My wife and I really appreciated meeting others from around the Diocese and experiencing their welcome and care. We came away affirmed and encouraged as members of the team and in our desire to be a part of a truly missionary church.

From 'Catta'

I enjoyed the weekend of great food and fellowship! Tim's sessions really challenged me to think of how I can get more involved in my community and speak to people about God. I learnt that faith is spelt R-I-S-K and that is what I need to get me on my mission!

(The beach was too rocky as well!)

…values of our life together as Christians having the necessary grace to allow for diversity and yet maintain respect and love in a way that has something radically engaging about it was very much the way of life that was being lived out at this year's Ministry Conference.
