The AMS realised that a lot of Anglican men are grandfathers and hence the theme for this years AMS Fellowship Day will be Fathers and Sons, Grandfathers and Grandsons. The day will be held at the wonderful Mt Ireh Estate near Longford, courtesy of the Dumaresq family, on Saturday 23 October from 10.30 am until 3 pm. All Anglican men are welcome - there will be something special for sons and grandsons. Annual General MeetingThere was an excellent attendance of nineteen members from throughout the state at the AGM at Ross in early June. National Chairman Bishop Colin Sheumack was on holiday and accepted our invitation to attend and we were pleased to note that his mobility has improved since a fall at the national conference in May. Office bearers for the next year are Ron Miller, Lay President; the Revd Ken Wills and Trevor Cowell, Vice Presidents; Max Robinson, Hon. Secretary and bulletin editor; Charles Siddins, Hon Treasurer; and Herbert Harding, Auditor. Ken Wills also accepted the position of Minute Secretary. |
