Farewell at St George's, Sorell

 

 

Members from all centres of the Parish of Sorell, Richmond and Tasman gathered at St George's Church in Sorell on 15 February to farewell the Rev. Henry Ivey and his wife Jenny, after eleven years in the parish.

Former parishioner Helen Ling assisted with the service and two very moving songs were sung by Shirley Iles accompanied by Gwen Newitt.

On behalf of the parish, one of the oldest parishioners, Stan Mead presented the Iveys with a cheque, and an oil painting by Diane Casimaty so they will have a memento of their time in the Parish of Sorell, Richmond and Tasman.

Everyone wished them well as they settle into their new parish, at Swansea.
