Tune: Darwall 66.66.88
Transforming God through Christ
The one incarnate Lord,
help us to work with boldness and
humility.
Our mission face:
to bring to all, proclaim to all,
His saving grace.
Enliven us in faith
by knowledge of your word.
The Holy Spirit gives us strength
to persevere:
To bear his Cross:
To grow in joy and usefulness;
Nor count the cost.
God's sovereign work abounds
for labourers in the fields.
Unceasing work and daily prayer
a harvest yields.
Have we the faith?
Have we the love to till the ground
for God above?
Trust God and follow Christ!
Disciples may we be.
The Holy Spirit's presence is
our constancy.
Let's seek the Lord:
He may be found, in all around;
Oh, praise the Lord!
Transforming God of Life,
Supreme Creator, Guide.
In him all majesty and power
and might abide:
His Name we raise:
May all our days 'till life shall end
be filled with praise!

Note from the author:
I have been working on a hymn to associate us musically
with the Bishop's ahealthychurch...
transformingLIFE
vision. Taking phrases and quotes from this booklet I have
come up with the following. It is set to Darwall chiefly
because of the rising glory of that tune, but will suit
others. Undoubtedly skilled hymnologists in the Diocese will
be able to improve on my effort by a considerable margin -
but, here it is!
