Prayers are answered

My story goes back to 1964 when I collapsed in a heap on the floor, my back was so sore, my doctor ordered me to have complete bed-rest, for one month.

After the month's rest I was no better.

For nearly twenty years I tried various medical treatments, with still no relief. In 1993 I moved from Victoria to Claremont, Tasmania, only getting some relief occasionally. By this time I had taken so many anti-inflammatory tablets I developed an ulcer. By now I was at my wit's end. My Tasmanian doctor suggested acupuncture, which achieved some relief.

As a regular church-member I had heard that prayer does help, so when the Rev. Jed Crispin preached on healing in July 2003, I though OK, let's put it to the test. During the time Jed and others from St Albans prayed for me, I had this wonderful sense of ease and relief and a very warming feeling all down my back and right leg. I knew immediately the Lord was in control.

Transformed

I really cannot explain the feeling other than 'love-peace-joy'. I knew I was being helped; and now months later I am still free of severe pain, with only a twinge if I over-do things. I remember to thank the Lord daily.

Since moving back to Melbourne I have packed and unpacked household goods, and moved furniture; never forgetting the Lord is with me.

When asked to share this experience I was only too pleased to do so. My life has been transformed.

I was once told, God works in mysterious ways, sometimes prayers are answered in different ways. 'Yes... No... wait a while!' but they are answered if you ask in faith. This I believe.
