We thought we would write to you all again, and tell you a little about our year at JAM (Jesus And Me). Here at St Marys, on the East Coast, we have had a very busy year, learning all about Moses and Jesus and Easter and prayer, (including learning the Lord's Prayer) and singing lots of songs and practising our memory verses. We have also made many craft pieces, including baby Moses in his basket, a wall hanging of the Ten Commandments, a concertina booklet telling the life of Moses, gifts for Mother's and Father's Days, a set of Praying Hands with the Lord's Prayer and an Advent calendar made out of match boxes. Whew! We have really been busy!On 14 December we finished our year, with the JAMmers presenting two plays. One was our very own version of The Good Samaritan, and the other was a play about the Birth of Jesus. It was called 'Come to a Party' and it was all about Jesus' Birthday. We had Angels, and Shepherds, and Wise Men and of course Joseph and Mary. Oh, and we also had some grumpy Innkeepers and one Kind Innkeeper. He was the one who said that Joseph and Mary could use the stable! We sang lots of songs to all the Mums and Dads. The church at St Marys was full for our special day!
Thank you for reading our news! We hope you will always look out for us! |
