Open Day and Auction Montgomery Park, Saturday 6th December, starting at 10.00 am. For more details contact Charles Lucas 6229 8877.

  • Allister has been busy recently, completing his coxswain's ticket and first aid refresher. He is presently upgrading his bronze medallion. He has also visited a number of schools with the display and a small but steady flow of bookings has resulted.
  • We have established ten new moorings in the bay with the help of Peter Heard and the Aquatas work barge and we are renovating the boatshed kindly loaned by Graeme Thiessen in preparation for MAT operation from Hurst Point. Thank you Arthur Wherrett and Alice Hey. We are upgrading our temporary jetty in consultation with MAST, with new floats. Thank you to Arthur Hinsley. And we have taken delivery of our final three power boats, getting them ready for survey by MAST. We now have four, in colours of red, yellow, green and blue, and all named after sea birds!
  • The new TS 16 has been trialled with a school group and performed remarkably well. It is stable and fast. Thank you Bert Steele, Peter Schulz and Chris Ekkel. The Guy Wyatt and the John Bull are presently being refurbished for the summer. Thank you Arthur W., Arthur H. and Alison McKenzie.
  • Charlie Lucas is doing a wonderful job in preparation for the Open Day on December 6th. He is organising a Giant Auction, which will include among its items a brand new fibreglass dinghy donated by Islander Boats and much more. Credit facilities available. Bring your family and friends to enjoy the day and to snap up a bargain at the auction!
  • We have welcomed three new volunteers: Alison McKenzie, Alice Hey and Maurice Newitt. If you can volunteer in any way, we'd love to hear from you!
