Anglican Women's Fellowship

by Ronnie Palmer

On 27 May following the great Anglican Women's Conference at St David's, Cooee, Mrs Jean Cox and Mrs Ronnie Palmer found themselves attending their first executive meeting in Launceston as the newly elected representatives for the North West, West Coast and King Island areas.

Jean and Ronnie both enjoyed stepping out of their own Christian arenas of Sheffield and East Devonport and learning how our wonderful Heavenly Father is blessing the faithfulness of their Anglican sisters statewide.

Encouraged and enthused, they immediately resolved to meet in early June to plan a Fellowship Day at Sheffield on the 28th of October. At a meeting at St David's, Cooee were the immediate past representatives, Mrs Stella Stitz and Mrs Julie Edwards. Also present were Mrs Helen DeBoer from Sheffield, Mrs Barbara King and Mrs Beverley Jacobs from Ulverstone, and Mrs Margaret Cruikshank from Penguin. Other churches were invited but at such short notice could not make it.

So despite drenching rain, freezing cold and wind, we had a lovely time of sharing and decision making - the Fellowship Day in October will be a good one!
