For a good cause some men of the Parish of Moonah had an appointment with the hairdresser on 1 June. Rev. Mark Pearce's nephew Joshua had recently been diagnosed with cancer, so to support him and to raise some funds for the Challenge Foundation, three 'wise' men lost their hair. Joining Mark were Ralph Cruickshank and David Clifford. Anne-Maree from CAJ Hair and Beauty in Derwent Park was responsible for the hair removal, which occurred at the end of the service at St Mary's. A total of $1000 was raised and forwarded to the Challenge Foundation in Melbourne. The Foundation provides care and support for families who have children with cancer. |
