On Thursday 29 May about 90 women and a few menfolk met at St Mark's Church, Deloraine, to celebrate 65 years of Guild.

The day started with a welcome cuppa as people arrived (mainly from the North of the State), followed by a moving Communion Service led by the Rector, the Rev'd Alan Bulmer.

A Rhododendron was planted in the Church Grounds to commemorate the lives of all those members of the 65 years and a sit down casserole lunch followed in the Parish Hall where friendships were renewed and made.

Enthralled

Entertainment was provided by the Banksia Bellringers from the North-East. This small group enthralled us with two brackets of songs and an hilarious skit. A beautifully decorated cake was then cut by the three past presidents who were present.

A special part of the day was the men and women of the parish who volunteered to work in the kitchen so that the seven Guild members could sit down and enjoy the day. Many thanks to the kitchen staff.
