The rain came down, the wind blew. The much prayed for rain had arrived at last. 'But Lord', I said, 'why did it have to be today when our St Helens Sunday School Fun Day was planned?' It was to be the first KANGA get-together for the year, and we were all looking forward to a wonderful time. I could almost hear God's voice saying, 'trust me'. Biggest hitAlmost 45 people blessed us that afternoon. We all had a go at Throwing Boots, Walking on Stilts, Treasure Hunting and even a Tug of War. All the parents participated and had as much fun as the children. Sausages and hamburgers were eaten, ice cream consumed. The Boot Throw was held in the rain, but no one seemed to mind. The Egg and Spoon race was a hit with two of the parents competing for best of show. Needless to say, the girls won.[!] The biggest hit of the day was the Tug of War. Many laughs were shared as the children pulled and pushed their way over the line. Then it was time for the parents' Tug of Waróno prizes for guessing who won between the guys and the gals! The day had been a great success. God is goodWe recently felt led to change the time of our Sunday School to coincide with our Church Service. Since then our numbers have increased from around 12 children to 28. It's really astounding when we stop to think about just how many children in this area are coming to know Lord Jesus. Approximately 150 in our local School, and an average of 25 at each of the three children's clubs. The harvest is indeed ready. 'Trust me', He said. Even when we are unfaithful, He is always faithful. Alleluia
