Hello everybody! We thought we would write and update all the readers of this wonderful publication, on what has been happening at JAM (Jesus And Me) At St Marys on the East Coast, we were busy all during term one, learning about Moses and his amazing life. We began of course with the facts about his birth and God's wonderful plan to save Moses from the King's plot to rid Egypt of the Hebrews. For our first craft, we put a miniature baby doll inside one half of a walnut shell, put on the other half for the lid, and whammo! We had our baby in the bulrushes! Practise being GodlyAt JAM each week we always try to learn something new from God's word; sing; do some craft; play a game, and of course we always eat and drink our afternoon tea! As term one progressed, we continued each week with more about Moses: the burning bush, the plagues, the parting of the Red Sea and of course, the Ten Commandments. We were really busy making a fold out concertina book about Moses. We took these home at the end of the term to show our families. Also we made a hanging mobile to remind us forever about God's law, which He gave to Moses on Mt. Sinai. Now when we wake up in our bedrooms we will see the Ten Commandments each morning! We were really challenged to learn all these new things, but our aim is to 'Practise being Godly'. And that is the song we sing to help us remember! Thank you for sharing our news. |
