Healing of memories in Alice Springs

 

 

Code 507 ABM's target for this project: $27 600

In years past, some Aboriginal children taken to live at St Mary's Anglican home in Alice Springs, experienced great dislocation, bewilderment and grief of separation from land, culture, family and language. These children are now adults and with the help of Fr Michael Lapsley SSM from South Africa, are participating in a workshop process of healing and telling their stories. 2003 is the third year of a three-year program, which will not only help those participating but will develop leaders for further workshops.
