Email lists There are such things as email lists. These enable people with mutual interests to share thoughts and feelings and to explore common issues. All participants send emails to a common address and then they are sent out to all who belong to that list. Some lists are moderated which means that the answers will be vetted by the list owner before being posted. Most lists only allow members to post. If you belong to a list, remember it is like addressing a meeting, not having a private conversation. You may be responding to something an individual said but everyone else will receive it. If you want to speak in private you should use their private address rather than the list address. When using a list keep these things in mind:
Lists are fun and can be an opportunity to not only learn and share but to make new friends. Enjoy them, but be mindful of what you are doing. |
