In January the Anglican Parish of Burnie once again welcomed a horde of children into St George's Church Hall for the annual Holiday Club. 26 children and several diligent and devoted helpers enjoyed four fun-filled days. This year the Holiday Club participants were 'Desert Detectives' looking for the ultimate treasure - the Mighty GodSword (which the astute reader will note is also the Mighty God's Word). Bible activities were combined with craft, games and activities - and we even managed time for a trip to Devonport. Sadly this was the final year for Holiday Club co-ordinator and bottom-ball expert extraordinaire, Mrs Gill Targett. Thanks Gill.
