In Lilydale a GFS camp was held in October to celebrate the centenary of GFS in the Diocese. Sixteen girls and leaders (including the all-important cook!) had a fun weekend at Mount Arthur Centre. The main activity centred around Jesus' parable of the rich man who built more barns for his bumper crop, but who died instead of enjoying his riches. There was a movie &endash;style program with 'previews' and 'tickets' at the box office as well as giveaways and Pop Corn Polly, and one Dad set off some fireworks on the Saturday night. A barbecue followed the Sunday service and the girls were joined by parents, former leaders and a past rector, the Rev'd Bill Percey. It was a lovely weekend! |
