The Parish of Sorell, Richmond and Tasman stretches from Colebrook to Port Arthur, across several small towns and exciting things are happening there! Three years ago the parish decided to invite all families to a family service and sausage sizzle at St Alban's Koonya. The service attracted about 20 children with their parents and was such a success it became a monthly event. Now Children's Church happens at Koonya at 10.30 a.m. on the third Sunday of each month. After a Bible Study and an activity, a campfire is lit and damper prepared by expert Alison Shoobridge is cooked on the end of a stick. Alison, Barbara Clifford and Melanie Tighe are the current organisers and everyone has a great time on these special Sundays.
