Some of the menagerie at Holy Trinity Hobart's Pet Show

Thirteen tadpoles - all called Bob

by Janice Roberts

With them went every kind of animal, domestic and wild, large and small, and every kind of bird...

Genesis 7:14

Saturday 10 August was a day for 'All Creatures Great and Small' at Holy Trinity, Hobart.

Trinity's Old Church Hall was transformed into a menagerie of pets, ranging from 13 tadpoles - all called Bob - to a ferret named Tenor! The cats, dogs, guinea pigs, ducks, chooks, birds, and soft toys all took their places of honour on the stage as the Rev. Charles and Mrs Pamela Fehre judged and annnounced the winners.

There were prizes for all. Blue ribbons and certificates for the pets, and lolly bags and balloons for their owners. Generous donations raised funds towards new equipment for Friday night's 'Hot House' youth group. H.T.'s Pet Show will become an annual event!

Janice is the Holy Trinity Youth Co-oordinator.
