Good fishing at Springfield

from Mark Pearce

Recently the Parish of Moonah held a family service based on John 21, where the disciples had been fishing all night and caught nothing.

Jesus told them to throw their nets on the other side and the catch was plentiful. The music, readings and prayers centred on this theme, and how we need to fish for Jesus - that is tell our friends about him!

St Mary's at Springfield was transformed - we had a boat, the sea, and fishers who were catching fish decorated and named by members of the congregation. And they remembered the Eski!

As people left they all received a special Tasmanian Devil Lure™ to remind them of the need to 'Fish for Jesus.' All in all, a great day out!
