The Bishop has announced the appointment of Ms Meredith Dickinson Campbell as the next Assistant Curate of the Parish of Kingston. Meredith comes to us highly recommended by the Selection Board of the Diocese of Melbourne. She is a qualified teacher with a Diploma of Fine Arts and a Diploma of Teaching, and has just completed her Bachelor of Ministries, Ridley College, Melbourne. Amazed and humbledMeredith has obtained accreditation for work amongst Children and Young People and will be ordained into ministry on 24 November at St Clement's. In a recent letter to the Parish of Kingston Meredith says... I was the last attempt for a boy in a Christian family of three daughters. I was raised by two parents who served the Lord enthusiastically all their lives. My father died of mesothelioma about 6 years ago. He died so beautifully...he learnt a Bible verse so he could say it to Jesus when he met Him. My mother is now in high level care in a very pleasant hostel near my middle sister's house. Mum has Alzheimer's but she still recognises us and bows her head when we pray. I am still amazed how the Lord has worked in my life and I am very humbled at the work He has set out before me. I am looking forward to meeting you all and sharing in the work of the Kingdom. |
