A church for Tasmania, making disciples of Jesus
God called Noah to build an ark, and when he obeyed, God preserved his family and repopulated the earth. Noah understood the pressure of society in creating something new, doing something different in carrying on his work. In the church and society of our day we need to build an 'ark' which is a caring, sustainable and growing Christian presence in every district of Tasmania. In order to do this we will need to 'keep looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith' Hebrews 12:2a
The Tasmanian Anglican Rural Community Development Project will further enable the contribution of Christian people within their communities.
Its aim is to establish or strengthen local communities of faith.
It seeks to serve communities who find it difficult to maintain basic ministries or who want to rethink their mission and ministry.
