Bishop's Easter message and services

The Anglican Bishop of Tasmania, the Right Reverend John Harrower, will be attending a number of services and events over Easter, and would be pleased for media representatives to be present.

On Good Friday, 21 March, Bishop Harrower will speak at the 9.30am Service at St David's Cathedral, Macquarie Street, Hobart. He will also be taking part in the 'Gethsemane's Garden' event for children and families at 11am at the Cathedral.

The Bishop will also celebrate Holy Communion on Resurrection Sunday, 23 March, at St David's Cathedral, at the service which begins at 10am. The Dean of the Cathedral, Dr Lindsay Stoddart, will preach.

On Easter Sunday afternoon, Bishop Harrower will be a part of the combined churches 'Awakening' Easter March and Rally. The March leaves Franklin Square at 2pm and arrives at Parliament House Gardens at 2.45pm, where there will be live entertainment, refreshments and activities for all ages, and Bishop Harrower will give a short address to the crowd.

Bishop Harrower will be available to the media for an Easter message and interviews at 1.00pm on Thursday 20 March, outside St David's Cathedral, on Macquarie Street, Hobart. He can also be approached by media after the Friday and Sunday services or at the March and Rally.
