Anglican Synod to meet

The annual Tasmanian Anglican Synod is meeting in Launceston this Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd June. The Synod includes representatives from each parish and makes decisions on behalf of the Church.

The Synod is being held at the Launceston Church Grammar Senior School campus, Button Street, Mowbray, in the JR Hughes Buildings. It opens with a special service at 7pm Friday (tonight)

The Bishop of Tasmania, The Right Reverend John Harrower, will be available for interview at 12.45pm on Saturday. He will be available to speak on the topics of his address to Synod and other matters before Synod, which include climate change and a Christian framework for approaching environmental issues.
