Understanding our Muslim Neighbours

The Anglican Bishop of Tasmania, the Right Reverend John Harrower, will be presenting workshops this weekend in Hobart titled "Understanding Our Muslim Neighbours."

The workshops will run at BayWest Anglican Church (corner of Lord and Grosvenor Sts, Sandy Bay, Hobart) on Friday from 7:30-9pm, and Saturday from 9am to 5pm.

Bishop Harrower has a long-term interest in Islam, including post-graduate studies in world religions. He is also writing a chapter in a book on Islam due to be released later this year - the chapter focuses on how to live in a multi-cultural Australia, with different religions.

The workshops will also include presentations from Archdeacon Andrew Lake (Rector of Sorell, Richmond and Tasman) who was a church Minister in Jakarta from 1996-2004.

Bishop Harrower will be available to do media interviews on this topic.
