Bishop's Easter Message and Services

The Anglican Bishop of Tasmania, the Right Reverend John Harrower, will be attending a number of services and events over Easter, and would be pleased for media representatives to be present.

On Good Friday, 14 April, Bishop Harrower will be preaching at the 10am Service at St David's Cathedral, Macquarie Street, Hobart.

The Bishop will also be celebrating Holy Communion on Easter Sunday at St David's Cathedral, at the service which begins at 10am. The new Dean of the Cathedral, Dr Lindsay Stoddart, will be preaching the sermon.

On Easter Sunday afternoon, Bishop Harrower will be a part of the combined churches 'Awakening' Easter March and Rally. The Bishop will be leading a donkey on the March which leaves Franklin Square at 2.30pm and arrives at Parliament House Lawns by 3pm. From 3pm, there will be a crowd gathered for a festival including donkey rides, live music, food and other children's activities.

Bishop Harrower will also be available to the media for an Easter message and interviews from 11am-12noon on Thursday 13th April. His Easter message for print media can be found here.
