Celebration for horselovers

This Sunday 31 July at Leslie Vale, a special gathering will be held to thank God for horses and all they can mean to their owners and the community. This celebration is timed to coincide with the official birthday of horses in the equestrian sports world.

Riders from the Leslie Vale community and the horse loving public in general will ride and walk at 2.45pm from the end of Bullock Drive, Leslie Vale, to a nearby hill, where a herd of 20 horses will be the focus for the celebrations. An early BBQ tea and bonfire will follow at Sandfly.

Rev'd Meredith Campbell of the Anglican Parish of Kingston will lead the celebrations, and Mr Andrew Legg, director and founder of the Southern Gospel Choir, will provide the music, with the Wellington mountain range as a magnificent backdrop.

The Anglican Bishop of Tasmania, the Right Reverend John Harrower, will also be participating (and riding a horse!).

All who love and admire our equine companions are invited to attend this unique event.
