Media advisory Friday 20 May 2005 Church gathers at SilverdomeUp to 1000 people from Anglican churches across Tasmania will be coming together tomorrow, Saturday, at the Launceston Silverdome. The occasion is titled Gathering Momentum. A similar gathering was last held in 2002. The day, from 10am-3:30pm, will include youth and kids activities, a 'low wire' acrobatic act (at 11:30am), and keynote speakers from interstate. The Bishop of Tasmania, the Right Reverend John Harrower, will also be speaking to the crowd about his vision for the future of the Anglican Church. Local churches and organisations will be presenting 'story towers' of their own local visions and plans that have been taking shape over the past year. Bishop Harrower will be available for interview at 12:30pm. There will be photo opportunities of the crowd and stage before and after this time.
