Media statement Friday 13 January 2005 Anglican appeal for tsunami-affected communitiesA Memorial Service to mark the National Day of Mourning for victims of the recent tsunamis will be held at 10am, this Sunday 16 January, at St David's Cathedral, Hobart. The Service will be attended by the Governor of Tasmania and Mrs Cox, and the Anglican Bishop of Tasmania, the Right Reverend John Harrower. The Dean of the Cathedral, Dr Stuart Blackler, will preach the sermon. The prayers will be said by Mr Patrick Fernando. Mr Fernando this week returned from Sri Lanka where his brother is a bishop. Media representatives are welcome to attend the Service.
