Media statement Monday 13 December 2004 New ordained leader for St LeonardsMr Irfon Griffiths will tomorrow (Tuesday) be ordained in Launceston as a Deacon by Bishop John Harrower. Mr Griffiths is a wholesale jeweller, and will continue to run this business whilst taking the leadership at St Leonards. Bishop Harrower said, 'This parish has been in recess for some months, but it's now time to rekindle its life and service in the community. Irfon and his wife Barbara bring significant skills and enthusiasm to St Leonards, and we look forward to seeing its growth over coming years.' The Ordination Service will take place at 7pm at St Peter's Church, St Leonards, Launceston.
