Tuesday 24 February 2004 Anglican Church wishes Premier wellThe Bishop of Tasmania, the Right Reverend John Harrower, has expressed his sadness at the illness and resignation of the Premier, Jim Bacon. Bishop Harrower said, 'On behalf of Anglicans around Tasmania, I would like to wish Jim Bacon well. I want to assure him that myself personally and the whole church are praying for him, for Mrs Bacon, and their family at this difficult time.' 'Our hope and prayer is for wisdom for his medical personnel, strength for the Premier and his family and for a full recovery.'
