Wednesday 15 October 2003 Foundation created to care for St David's Cathedral A foundation has been created to care for St David's Cathedral. Called the St David's Cathedral Foundation, it came into being on the 9th of October. Created as a trust, it was founded by the trustees of the Diocese of the Anglican Church, Tasmania and the trustee is a company that is limited by guarantee - St David's Cathedral Foundation Ltd. The first directors are: Andrew Kemp, Chairman Peter Cretan, Deputy Chairman Kerry Bowerman, Secretary Dan McNeil Peter Cranswick Brendan Lennard Edyth McWilliam Langham-Goodwin Susan Shadforth The foundation is a non-profit organisation with the objective of ensuring the ongoing and long-term preservation, maintenance and enhancement of St David's Cathedral.
