The Parish of St Stephen's, Sandy Bay was established in 1922.
It grew from St George's Parish, Battery Point and now incorporates two churches, St Stephen's Church, Sandy Bay and St Luke's Church, Taroona. Each centre is overseen by a local committee with the parish as a whole managed by the Parish Council. In 2002 we changed our name to the Parish of Sandy Bay and Taroona.

A friendly church...

You are warmly invited to attend our services of worship at either of our churches and to join us for morning tea following some of our services! Children are welcome too.

Each church has an area equipped with toys, books, construction activities and paper and pencils which should keep a young family entertained!

Besides the regular services and those linked to the Church's Year, the Parish has provided some special services of worship including services featuring animals and memorial services especially for those families bereaved in the previous 12 months. The Sandy Bay Regatta Service is a long standing annual event and is held during the Australia Day weekend and is attended by parishioners and members of the Regatta Committee.
