Audrey Mills

Audrey is the Chancellor of the Diocese of Tasmania and Board Chair of Anglicare Tasmania

Audrey was appointed as Chair of the Anglicare Board as from 30 September 1998.

Audrey was educated at St Michael's Collegiate School, Hobart, and studied Law at the University of Tasmania. Audrey has been a Partner since 1985 in the firm of Piggott Wood & Baker and practices as a Barrister & Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Tasmania. Her area of practice is civil litigation including insurance, personal injuries claims, workers compensation, contract and tort for both Plaintiffs and Defendants.

Audrey is a past member of the Law Council of Tasmania (the governing body of the Tasmanian Law Society) and was a Board Member and then Director of TGIO Limited up until 1996. Audrey is Past Commissioner of the Australian National Railways Commission.

Audrey is currently involved in:

  • Member, Faculty of Law, Teaching and Learning Committee
  • President, Australian Women Lawyers
  • Chair of the Law Society's EEO Committee
  • Member of Womensport Tasmania
