Chris Jones
Chris, currently the CEO of Anglicare, is a born and bred Tasmanian and married to a Tasmanian. The couple has two children, live in Glenorchy and are members of the congregation at Bellerive.
From Cosgrove High School Chris went to the Commonwealth Bank for seven years. He trained for the priesthood in Adelaide and, following ordination, served in the parishes of Kingston, Burnie and Scottsdale. Anglicare, a church agency, is one of the largest welfare and community service organisations in the State. It provides over 40 services to disadvantaged Tasmanian with a focus on those living in poverty. Chris was appointed CEO in 1998.
Chris is involved in a range of community organisations at a State and national level, is a fellow of the Institute of Company Directors and the Institute of Management. Chris is Vicar-General in the Tasmanian Anglican Church. He holds qualifications in theology, pastoral studies and community management. He completed a Doctor of Business Administration in the area of corporate governance.
Chris has an interest in Australian political history, his iPod and losing weight.
